  2. Teach him letters, sounds & site words.
  3. Have your son read to you once he is able.
  4. Teach him how to spell and recognize his name.
Elementary School

  1. Continue to read to your son daily.
  2. Encourage him to read on his own.
  3. Meet your son’s teachers and discuss your son’s strengths and weaknesses.
  4. Encourage your son to try different activities and sports like swimming, coding, lego building, basketball, music, and art, etc.
Middle School

  2. Meet your son’s teachers and discuss your son’s strengths and weaknesses.
  3. Attend parent nights, student performances, and games to show your son support.
  4. Allow your son to express his feelings about the changes happening to him physically and emotionally.
  5. Pay close attention to your son’s friends and their choices.
High School

High School

  1. Encourage your son to read daily.
  2. Meet your son’s teachers and discuss your son’s strengths and weaknesses.
  3. Attend parent nights, student performances, and games to show your son support.
  4. Talk to your son about becoming an adult and the responsibility that includes
  5. Pay close attention to your son’s friends and their choices.
  6. Visit colleges and work together to make school or work development choice.
